16V badge on the boot

Hi all

Half of the "V" on my 16V sign on the boot is missing, can you buy replacements and if so is it better to get them replaced professionally or can you DIY?

Thanks Kev

But then people might think he's only got a 1600. He'd have to fit a 5 inch diameter exhaust and MAXPower stickers to prevent them casting nasturtiums on his manhood.

The colour of the paint is likely to be different though. I think main dealers sell them.

Depends on the make but they should be cheap. They are normally self adhesive so easy to fit.

You will need to get the rest of the badge off though. I doubt if it will be a different colour underneath so you could always leave it off completely as previously suggested.

Yeah, I was wondering if it was risky trying to get the existing one off, I don't want to cause damage whilst removing the existing one, that was my main worry.

A few seconds with some T-cut would fix that.

Scrap it just because half the badge is missing? That's going a bit far isn't it, is it a skoda or something?

The local chavs have de-badged most of the cars in our area .. even (much to my surprise) my Rover 218SD!

Apart from some minor screwdriver marks the rest of the 'mess' same off with white spirit and some T-Cut. Didn't see the point of buying any to put back on .. could be a Porch or anything now .. ;-)

Frustrating though isn't it .. the blue oval managed to stay on the tailgate of my 2LGL Sierra Est for 22 years till the chavs got to it .. ;-(

All the best ..

No shit.

Next time I'll remember to put a smiley on there as a clue for the hard of thinking.
