1992 Ford Fiesta 'Fashion'

I am interested in buying a 1992 Fiesta 'Fashion' 1.1

But I can't find mention of it anywhere, and some of the insurance companies I have tried don't seem to recognise it. Does anyone know anything about this car, or what it might be better known as?

Thanks

it doesnt really matter. when you phone the company to buy a policy, quoting the registration of the vehicle should suffice in providing the required details

In principle, but not very accurate. It threw up the correct make and general model e.g. Saab 9000, but a seriously wrong engine version for my car. BTW, the engine version in my logbook is correct.

Not always. Reckons mine's a manual. The insurers simply wouldn't believe it was an auto - even though it's parked outside.

then i suppose the onus is on the insurance company to ensure they have the correct vehicle details? especially if they are not willing to accept what your telling them as fact.

Shouldn't think so - it's your fault no matter what with insurers.

"Modified, Sir?"

Might be some dealer-stickered "shift-a-compound-full" "special edition".

Either way, it's an oxymoron.

Shows as auto on the original options list stuck in the boot.
