I've not owned one, but cutting out, misfiring, stalling, wayward dash needles & warning lights, spluttering and general electrical nortyness is pretty well documented with the 206.
It would help if you told us the engine size, year and how it cuts out, other symptoms etc.. Also if its had any software updates in the past, and which ECU its fitted with. If its a Magneti marelli G6 your ok, if its a Sagem, be ready for a big bill...

The ECU is located under the scuttle trim under the bonnet on the passenger side.

Get your local Pug dealer to check on its recall database, many many 206`s had recalls on for the same reasons.
