Hi. Please help. My astra starts ok, but wont move over tickover revs. After about a minute it responds to the throttle and revs up ok if a bit hesitantly. When I put it in gear it wont rev over tickover speed again and crawls along at about 5 mph. ?

If petrol: first would be renew the plugs and check/replace the plug leads. Check the cam timing/ign timing. has it got the right fuel in? is the filter recent.
Is the air filter blocked, is the exhaust blocked. etc. etc.

Sounds like the throttle body has died - quite a common fault on these I believe.
