Breaker bar

Having bent one of these at the weekend while trying to remove a galilee bolt from a Jeep, I need one that is better made. The last one was some no name cheap rubbish included with a socket set.

I also have a problem that the front bolts can be removed using a bar that is 1metre long but the rears have limited access and 400-500 mm is as long as the bar can be without fouling the chassis. I've searched for an extending bar and can find two. One I already have - a long handled bar fir wheel nuts. Useless in this application because of the fixed angle of the head. The other is a Draper, the description seems fine, but is it any good? Does anyone have a decent extending bar and if so, who made it?

I have a Halfords own brand one, it's IIRC around 60cm long. I'll measure it tomorrow. Had it for years. It seems pretty indestructible despite being used for a variety of things outside it's spec. It's a 1/2" drive.

Of course, now I've said that, the bastard thing will break on Saturday when I'm doing the discs and pads. Probably when I've got 3 of 4 caliper bolts out.

I'd go for 3/4" drive if you're having problems. Average quality 3/4 is much stronger than the best 1/2 inch.
