I have a 1990 Vauxhall Cavalier SRi which is blowing its windscreen wiper/washer/horn fuse. The problem started a couple of nights ago when I discovered I the wipers didn't work just after starting the car. On replacing the fuse everything worked again.
All seemed fine this afternoon until starting the car when leaving a shop. As I drove away I heard the fuse pop, followed by the radio turning itself off and the electric aerial retracting. Damn. The radio worked fine when switched on again.
Presumably something is making an intermittent contact with an earth and blowing the fuse. Is the radio turning off likely to be related to the problem or is that somehow a side effect of the fuse going? Any suggestions on a likely cause or even where to start looking? I have the wiring diagrams available if needed.
