I had a new cam belt put on my van about 1 year and 6000 miles ago. A mate of mine has just trashed his engine after the cam belt failed and reckons that the garage that changed it last, didn't actually change it.
Now this is the same garage that changed my cam belt so my question is, if I take the cam cover off should I be able to tell if my cambelt is a newish one or not, or do they all look the same until they snap?
