Folks,
Any idea where to start looking on an old AX 1.5D. It needs manually priming every time before it will even consider starting - and when it does it's hesitant as anything.
Cheers Dan.

If you need to manually prime it, then it must have an air leak, letting the fuel syphon itself back to the tank.
First check would have to be the fuel filter housing, then the fuel lines.
But bear in mind that this engine in 1.4 and 1.5 diesel is a well known pile of s**te and a lot of garages will not touch them, good whilst it's going but a pig when it goes wrong and well known for reccuring head problems.
Regards Slim.
