Cost to replace Micra clutch?

What could I expect to pay to have the clutch replaced on my ancient (but trusty) Micro K11? (At a non-Nissan garage). I'd like to know what to expact before I ask them.

I was thinking to save some dosh by buying the plate and bearing myself and asking the garage to fit them - if they'll do that of course. As the car's not worth much I may put up with it until the clutch gives up altogether...

Wouldn't imagine any more than £150-200. Don't just wait til it gives up. It might decide to do that on a nice steep hill leaving you with no drive to get up it.

I would charge 90 quid plus the clutch kit. so probably about 170 all in

...and perhaps damage the flywheel in the process?

I wouldn't imagine so, but theoretically, it's possible. You'd need to seriously give it the beans while it was slipping to cause that much overheating.

List's as a 3.5 hour job +oil for £90 !

"Fred" >> expact

The oil goes back in and I do them faster than that. As I run from home I do not have hourly overheads to worry about, as long as I make a reasonable amount per hour I don't fret too much.
