Can any one give me a source for buying some long thin brushes ideal for cleaning long deep oil ways etc...like rifle cleaning brushes...i am failing to find a source.

Jon, These might be more useful, there for cleaning Trombones! - I have seen them recommended to people cleaning out engine oilways on other newsgroups.

Burette and test tube brushes from any laboratory supply company in yellow pages. Burette ones are about 20 inches long and test tube ones about half that. They won't dissolve in cleaning fluids like paraffin or petrol, only cost pennies each and are just the right size for engine oilways.
