My deisel Espace has been making a loud whine for the last couple of months or so. It doesn't seem to be getting any worse (I can still hear the normal turbo noise beneath this other whine) therefore I don't think it's the turbo bearing but it's definately turbo related. I thought it might have been a leak in the intercooler or associated hoses but I've bypassed all that and it's still the same. I've also checked the dump vlave and that's snapped shut. I'm reluctant to take it to the Renault garage as I'm sure they will say "ah that's your turbo shot sir" and charge me even if it isn't that. Anyone any ideas
