Hi, Next door neighbours Fiesta temperature gauge is showing maximum at all times. As soon as the ignition is switched on the gauge climbs to full temp. Does he need a new sender or is it and electrical problem? Mant thanks.

Sounds a lot like a short-circuit sender. Check by pulling the wire off it and seeing if the gauge drops back to cold.
also try earthling the wires to ground
