Fitting Reversing Sensors

The number plate one will only pick up obstructions in the centre, the four sensor type is much better in that they can cover the full width. Mounted too near the edges they can pick up side objects. I experimented by using blue tack to hold them in place, to find the best locations for mine.

Worst part TBH was finding a route to mount nicely on dashboard.

I fitted sensors to my car and in retrospect the only thing I would do differently if I did it again would be to not bother with a visual display, I only ever use the audio when reversing.

Got to agree that they are a great aid to parking, especially in a larger car (my Rover is a touch over 16 feet in length)

The message from "Knight Of The Road" contains these words:

Same with the wife - she's been occasionally asking me to fit some to her "new" car and this time I ain't bothering with the display.
