Focus C-max

Can anyone explain why (apparently) the C-max gets much more of a slagging off in the Reliability Indexes / Customer feedback than the Focus

I've gone through all the drivers feedback on Whatcar.com and the C-max issues are mostly with the bits that I would have thought been exactly the same whether it the 3,4,5 door estate or MPV

is it because the 1st year of production was before the Focus was introduced and was a bit of a "try out"/learning curve (i.e doing a british Leyland :) ) or is it a different factory or ...... ?

cheers

The C-max has suffered from many and recurring problems 99% with its Stereo, wiper motors, clock and HVAC systems. Usually frustratingly intermittent ones!

Whereas the Focus, using largely the same parts doesn't. It's mostly down to flakey software and wiring in the Cmax...

The current Cmax is a hugely capable car though, and the S-max even more outstandingly so.
