Are any of these worth blasting through the tank once in a while?
Not expecting miracles but on a 3 year old car with 40k on the clock is it worth a tenner every six months on a bottle of Redex/STP or anything similar?
cheers, Paul

Apparently some of the cheap injector cleaners can contain tin, which aint good. As far as I know there isn't anything wrong with Redex though.
Forte' flush is the only one I will use. It's expensive, but it works, and doesn't have any bad side effects.
The saying 'if it aint broke, dont fix it' comes to mind- is blocked injectors a known problem for your model? Is it solely driven on shorts stops with no motorway miles?

Hmm the main constituent of Redex is Kerosene which is a lot cheaper I pop a few 100ml in now and again when I am running low on fuel just to clear through the carb seems to work OK and of course is a wee bitty cheaper Derek
AOL. Only 3 years old. I'd leave it.
No.
You have an ancient car with a carburettor? This thread is about fuel injection.
Just fill up with Shell Optimax for a month every year.
