Hi Group, After 50 miles or so my gear stick shaft gets warm, is this normal??

Probably the cobbles.
Look underneath - the exhaust is pretty close. Incidentally, putting some grease on the bottom joint of the gear lever makes the change really smooth. However, the heat dries it out
