Golf Mk5 TDI - bad idea?

Oct 28, 2010 2 Replies

Despite some slight frustrations, the Mass flow thingy, and the barrel of laughs commonly known as window mechanisms of the breakable variety, me and my Golf Mk4 TDI are great friends (touch wood).

But life being the transient experience that it is, we are destined to part company sooner or later. Assuming I survive the experience, would the rather unimaginative move of purchasing a Mk5 TDI be unwise?

I know they have their detractors, but then I believe the Mk 4 does too.

Thoughts?
