Help Needed to locate part.

Hi all - help needed to locate a part for my Rover 214 SLI 1.4l 1992. I need a heater matrix and manifold return hose because mine has split bad ways. I have been told by the local motor factors in Derby that it is a main dealer buy only. My questions - anyone know of anywhere that does them and failing that who is the Rover dealer in Derby??

Yours in anticipation,

Gaynor

Luffield - Mansfield Road (Parker Centre). One of those new-style dealers that doesn't have a zinc-topped parts counter and a dirty calendar - you sit at a desk and try to persuade the clerklet to look up from her computer for a moment and summon someone in a suit to tell you they'll order it for you.

Alternatively, try Coolex (Osmaston Works, Osmaston Road (opposite Morley Motor Factors, between Litchurch Lane and Douglas Street) to see if it can be repaired, or a firm I've not tried, Midland Car Parts on Parcel Terrace, who say in YP that they sell heater matrices.

Most heater matrix can be repaired. Check with a radiator repairer.

I'd have thought that a heater matrix would be quite pricey. You could try a breakers or maybe get the original rebuilt by a rad specialist

It's only the return hose that i need not the complete matrix. Been quoted £18.20 plus vat for genuine Rover part but they have said that they have been waiting for 3weeks for one and they still don't know when it's coming in. Considering the amount of Rover 214s on the road it is a bit disgraceful really so off down to Looms at weekend to see if I can get one. Thanks folks,
