How do you replace this water pipe on a Cavalier 1.8 M reg

I need to change a water pipe on an M reg Vaxhall Cavalier 1.8. It is at the back of the engine, the bottom one of the 2 that are about 1.5 inches diameter. I am planning to go to a scrap yard to get a new one tomorow and then on to the car.

What tools am I likely to need? Does anyone know what is at the ends of this pipe (jubalee clip? wire? Bolted to engine) Any other suggestions?

I went to the auction tonight, and I examined one M reg green 1.8 Cavalier, then left the other person who was with me to bid on it. They must have missed it, and said it had not come through. When a green 1.8 Cavalier came through I assumed that it was it and bid on it. I soon found out my mistake, and there was no (or very little) water in the engine. When I filled it up it was obvious where it was going, out of a hole in the pipe I describe above.

Thanks for any help. Let me know if you need any further info.

Get a new pipe. Getting one from a scrappies is false economy.
