A friend of a friend put his very new BMW (something or other big) in for a service and replace one door mirror. He already knew that the mirror was going to cost him £984 all in (boggle) The final total bill was £4500 as he also had to have two sensors (possibly lambda sensors) which were not covered under warranty (boggle2)

I heard a story about a 7 series that was under 3 years old and going for £1500. The electric seat had broken, there was no manual adjustment. The seat + labor was more than the car was worth.
He should have tried ebay instead.
