OK thanks for links, but it's like: How long is a piece of string. I use inexpensive super market oil, as long as it's fully synth. More resitant to high temp petrol turbo. I then compare cost of fuel over the oil change interval, my car does 30mpg. Oil change is then only a small cost in comparison.
It's only a whiff of fuel that comes out per stroke, I've never seen any sign of a problem in the fifty-odd years that I've been doing things like this.
me too, but if it isn't mentioned then someone will get a faceful or set it alight.

At the other side, mates Mrs lost her eyebrows when checking the action of the throttle butterfly and it backfired though the carb. ;-(

Ah yes, I have seen such things at that end (but there's much more fuel around).
