It won't be a coincidence. Taking the lot to bits to find if it's the flap (probably) or the cable won't be fun. My third prediction will be wrong.

Hi guys,
Finally saved enough money from my student budget to buy the parts I required! I put them all on this morning & it only took around an hour, these included the heater resistor, the wiring connector, the connector to the switch & the heater control cable. I'm pleased to say that this has solved virtually all my problems! Thanks for the advice, it was very helpful. And I now have a nice warm car!
