My step-dad's MK2 Mondeo has a horrible burning smell going on, it's an "electrical" type burning smell, so my first check was the fan settings. The fan still works on all 4 speed setting but I'd like to have a look at the resistor pack.
Can someone points out to me where to start looking ?

under the dash above the passenger footwell, it is in the airflow in the side of heater, just get a new one plus the wiring repair kit, it is about
15 quid from fords
And yes, I am a Mondeo hater.
Thanks Mr Cheerful, I wasn't a big fan when I owned one, but since I bought a Citroen Xantia I realise that it was quite well built in comparison ;)

Good idea, but, it's stop smoking now and the fan only runs at full speed :) I've stopped taking bets ;)
