Went to look at a 2007 Mondeo Diesel at a car supermarket yesterday with a mate of mine.
I had a look under the bonnet and removed the plastic engine cover and found the engine, and most of the other ferrous items, to have quite a bit of rust.

Is this normal, or do you think this car has had an underwater encounter?
By the way, he bought a different car! - so just curious.
