How many miles between cambelt changes? The handbook says to ask the dealer - however "Eldon motors" of Bury, Lancashire are not to be trusted - therefore i seek your sage council.

Although they may be, as you suggest, not to be trusted, it would be worth getting them to put in a letter to you what the recommendation is. Then you may have some comeback if the belt breaks early. It also means they would have to research it properly before they reply to you in writing.
