Having problems with a 110HP hdi diesel, engine management light on, showing anti pollution fault, does anyone know what this means? Is it linked to particulate emission system, if so what are you supposed to do about it? any help or suggestions wecome

Take it somewhere to get the codes read is your first move.

sounds like a particle filter problem, we changed one on a vauxhall signum a few months back, the cost......... £500+vat !!!

There has, not surprisingly, been many posts on this issue on various forums.

mention but two. If you are getting the message "antipollution fault", this may well have nothing to do with the filter, as many other bits around the engine can cause this. If the filter has become blocked, you would normally get a more obvious message, like "unblock diesel filter" What age an mileage is the car? You can get exchange filters BTW, which cost less than half the price of a new one. Or you can take it off and wash it out yourself, as others have done.

It'll probably just go away.
