I have a 1993 Escort LX 16v which occasionally (not all the time) gives off a smell of petrol after the engine has stopped running.
There are no obvious signs of leakage, and the fuel consunption doesn't seem to be on the high side.
Any suggestions as to the cause would be extremely welcome.
