Well today I took the car to my local garage and the analysis so far is that it is likely to be (but not absolute until serious investigation) the head gasket, they think that during the the time I had the radiator run low due to the a slight leak the gasket may have warped/moved so it could now be interfering with one or more of the cyclinders. the wish to charge me f532 rough est for gasket/skim/labour......which I think is waaaay expensive but I've yet to check with other garages for work, seeing as I picked car up late in day. What do you all think? Do I actually need the head skimmed I assumed that was only necessary in only serious cases with proper leaks(which the is no sign of at moment to indicate that it has gone fully).
