Power steering pump seems to be making a little noise.Is this a common fault for this car and mileage? What is likely to need replacing/fixing?
How much is this likely to cost to repair?
Is the fluid low? get it topped up.

Seconded. It may be worth checking for leaks - I have the same car of the same age and it recently developed a very small leak from the pinion shaft
- the bit where the steering column connects into the rack. Have a look down the back of the engine and see if anything looks damp. The system only hold 0.85 litres of fluid so it doesn't take a very big leak. Use ATF if it needs topping up.
