The clutch would appear to be dragging badly. Can't get it into gear with engine running, crunches when trying reverse. When you fire up engine in gear and clutch down, car wants to move forward, and smoke from clutch. Cable appears to be adjusted ok, but I've only seen the car in pitch black tonight. Any ideas?

Cable adjustment is to f*ck, either that or the car needs a new clutch.

Cable looks fine, with pedal at a reasonable height. This car was bought from a second hand dealer one week ago today, so I'm not best pleased.

After speaking to the company, it looks extremely likely I'll be going the tradings standards route. ;-)
