Scratches on paint

Is there anything a car owner can do about scratches on metallic paint e.g. does T-cut do the job or is there any other product that can be used.I would appreciate very much any help with this.

T-cut just makes the lacquer coat go dull.

Perhaps it might be worth asking one of the specialists who come to your home/workplace?

It depends how deep they are. Pretty much all fine scratches can be improved by sanding with at least 1200 if not 2000 grit wet and dry and polishing afterwards. G3 is a very good polishing compound, but if you have some Autoglym Super Resin polish or similar it is possible to polish out 2000 grit marks.

Most people use a key but for more coverage you could try a pack of Brillo pads.

Thanks for replies.I will have a look in Halfords tomorrow to see if they have got any of the polishes.
