Dear all, My Skoda Felicia 1.3 MPi has problems cutting out and then restarting. This can happen almost any time. When first started it sounds to be running a bit lumpy and then gets going but sometimes dies at this point and at other times such as pulling up at a junction and sometimes between gear changes. It nearly always takes some starting after such an event. The car runs great in between times. I've changed the plugs and water temp sensor on recommedation of a 'Skoda garage'! to no avail. Has any one had problems with the 'coil/spark plug' connector block? looks a bit unusal and suspicious to me! Any offers from the cars.maint group much appreciated. Cheers Ben.

would do well asking in here, Skoda techs answering any problems, in a voluntary capacity, A good friendly forum
All, sorry about this if duplicated but I don't think this got thru' first time. I have also just looked at a thread from snipped-for-privacy@gmail.com on the 1st december this answers look quite helpful. Any more offerings appreciated. Yesterday the car stopped in traffic, real embarrasing having to wave people passed. Following this went to the local Skoda dealership to see if the service dept. had any offerings! Having put the situation to the guy on the service desk he suggested a diagnostic check at £60. I then asked him would this identify the fault? He talked his way out of that one and said possibly not and anyway the description I'd given him sounded like it could be a ..... wait for it ...... a gearbox fault!!!!!!!!!!! This is main dealer stuff Please help. Ben.
