Buy a bonnet from a scrappies and practice.
Yes. I've read quite a bit about spraying, and quite honestly it doesn't help much especially if you're not using fully pro gear.
Bit like books on welding really.
There's no substitute for learning by your mistakes.

Hi, I don't mind answering general questions or even specific paint related ones if I can but what I won't do (as sometimes requested) is answer by way of an essay.
After all if we've taken the trouble to learn an apprenticeship we cannot be expected to recite everything learned over four more years IYSWIM.
