Doesn't need it. The existing tank appears to be around 5 litres. I've filled it twice since I got the car in March. Considering I like to use the squirters to deter tailgaters (they get fed up with having to wipe their screen all the time - works only on dry days) that ain't bad.

Must get round to fitting a third set of squirters to the top rear corners purely for tailgater annoying. Since it's a 7-seater with rear facing seats in the boot I might let the kids, who like being tailgunners, some ammunition. A button each with a nozzle on each corner would provide endless amusement.

In my wild and wooly yoof I had a DT 125 and used the redundant 2-stroke oil tank (the dosing pump had broken) and a 6V squirter off something (can't remember what) to shoot pedestrians in Sevenoaks High Street. Fitted a switch to where the electric start button would have been if it had had electric start.

(note for the hard of thinking - I wouldn't actually let the kids have control of squirters to shoot other road users with - but it's a fun idea)

Wish my bloody 205 did - takes less than a kettle full, unlike me old car Volvo 740 which appeared to use a fuel tank sized reservoir : ). Talking of which, any one know of a mod for the accursed 205? I've seen bigger juice bottles.

Mk2 Escorts had awful washer bottles. I used to get a Capri one and mount it in the boot. Bit awkward routing the pipe through, but once done job sorted.

For your 205 I'd see where there's room for a bottle, find a large bottle that fits and put it there instead..

Thats the problem, have you seen the room in a 205? even if I put a decent one in the boot, I couldn't get the shopping in !!! I was considering punching a hole in the bonnet, fitting a large funnel, over where the washer bottle is, and using our copious rain to keep it topped up LOL. Not to mention there is an even smaller res. in the boot for the rear screen. If I could find a way of tapping the water leaks into the reservoirs, that would be a bonus too.

My Allegro had a tiddly bottle - so I replaced it with a 5l plastic jug.

I have wondered why cars with air con don't use the condensate to top up the washers automatically

LOL. I did mean to add I wanted to keep the car for purely economical reasons. Maybe adding a bigger water tank would screw up my mileage !!!! LOL

It may be too slimy. I spent a less than happy afternoon once trying to get the squirters on a Uno to work once. The water had got infected with something which looked like it belonged in a Dr Who scene. Stringy thick gel with green flecks - like stringy snot with algae in it. Took considerable effort to get it down the pipes.

I blew it out eventually with the airline - then spent ages pushing all the connectors back on.

A good screen wash additive with anti freeze properties is the thing I use. Seems to keep algae type stuff away and still works when it's below zero. Useful up here in Scotland, until Global warming starts to bite. Then I'll probably start using moss killer.

Many years ago we drove though middle of London on a hot Saturday afternoon all passengers equipped with water pistols and 2L bottles of water. Woman in BMW found the electric windows were just way too slow, got shot three more times while winding it up. One group of lads at bus stop were pissing themselves as the target with his back to us couldn't work out why it was raining just on him on a bright sunny day.

I know stock car drivers that would put you into a lamp post for behaviour like that, come to think of it, I would too.
