I'm looking for a Mazda 6 stereo fascia adaptor the same as

Because not everyone likes the Mazda CD players.

For example, I have a Nakamichi head unit in my Alfa that I'm very fond of indeed.

If the car I was about to buy had some nasty, 'orrible, factory fit tat in and there was no way of getting rid of it (and it was a Mazda) Mazda would lose a sale. So they tend to have such things available.

Yes indeed. That is why I am asking for an after market adaptor.

Do car manufacturers produce their own facia adaptors?? I always thought it was 3rd party.

Personally I wouldn't let my choice of stereo dictate whether I bought the car or not but I can see your point. Mazda certainly don't do the adaptor I am looking for as the adaptor replaces the whole centre column. Before:

Halfords now do a range of these as well as the ISO connector adapters, not cheap though.

Considering they cost $170 from America, I'm not that bothered how much they cost over here.
