Tyre Damage

Hello All

Checking the tyres today i noticed a 10mm cut in one tread block appearing deep enough to go to the untreaded surface of the tyre and another tyre had a nail in a tread block - its not losing air so probably contained in the tread , they are quite new tyres. Would these be repairable problems/ non critical issues or replacement tyres.

if the cuts/nails haven't got through to the cords of the main carcase of the tyre then they are probably ok to ignore, from your description they sound ok

Nails aren't a problem in the tread area. A fast fit place will pull it out and plug the hole. Can't comment about the cut.

Well Rapid Fit pulled out 3 nails from 2 tyres and none had gone through, the cut wasnt a problem either.

Phew :)
