FWIW, when I ran a Ka (tyres < 10k, brakes every 5 :D), the tyres were never really cheap (ie, £30 a corner for Uniroyals at the cheapest tyre place in the universe), because only the Ka used that size. Possibly something similar on the Fiat Crapton.

Accordign to e-tyres, depending which small Sei you have (Citymatic, S,=20 or MIA) they were either 135/70Tr13 or 145/65Tr13. Priced below are the=20

Etyres MidPrice 135/70Tr13 =A3135.60inc VAT for 4 including fitting. If the tyres are the wrong size, your speedo wil be out. although the=20 size you have listed seems about right if it should have the skinnier=20 ones on as standard. But T not H rated. You might grip a little better=20 now.

Better too tight than too loose. The tyre place will do them properly for you, and they have a machine that can remove nuts you would find impossible.

Yup, I know, but the cars should be fine. The only rubber that will help peter's grip tends only to be produced in exclusive wallpaper patterns.

I'd rather have 'em slightly loose - you get a few minutes clonking at least before they come adrift. If they're all overtight and one goes you can get a chain reaction as the load spreads to the other bolts. I had this happen many years ago on the family's Morris 2200.

Aye, they're pretty good on price - probably around £35/tyre for branded ones then. Possibly a bit more - given Peter's time constraints, it doesn't sound like £45/tyre all in was too terrible really. I'll still always opt to pay the least amount possible for the same product as long as the service is good.

As an aside - anyone in the Reading area seen the tyre place just off Rose Kiln Lane (coming towards it from Boulton Road) - forget the name of them, but they've got a sign outside that says something along the lines of "Tyres from £6.99 each". What are they? Bicycle tyres??
