Can anyone tell me how to get into the bonnet on a Vauxhall Nova when the catch under the dashboard has snapped?

Hi There
Get at the catch either via the front grill or from the bottom of the car.
Get your girlfriend to crawl under the car and put her hand up by the radiator under the bonnet and release the catch. Tell her it's because she's got slender arms.
