Hi today one of the girls at work asked me to fit a new headlight bulb in her vectra today, the one that was in had stopped working, anyway to cut to the chase the new bulb made no difference, anyone got an idea where I go from here.

2 things: were you changing the correct bulb, it is easy to confuse which one you are working on ! the headlights are individually fused, when a bulb blows it can take the fuse at the same time.
Yea def the right bulb, the story now is that this girl at work went to a garage, as her mam mentioned she had a bulb out. I should have started with the fuse before I went with her to get the bulb, it turns out that when I checked it tonight the fuse was missing making me think that the garage had taken it out, taking a chance that she would return and the garage would make a killing, telling her the bulb was at fault. SB
Knowing what the problem is, it would make interesting reading how the garage handled the problem and a quote to fix.
