Which fuse do I pull?

Aug 09, 2007 5 Replies

The "check engine" light has come on in my Mitsubishi Carisma 1.8 GDI (X-reg, 2000) - which fuse do I pull to erase it from the ECU memory? I know I could disconnect the battery but I can't find the radio code anywhere and don't want to lose my music :o)

TIA,

Steve

If your taste in music is as bad as your taste in cars, I wouldn't worry about losing your radio code ;-)

Now that is nassssty! :-)

Ouch!! :o)

I can however, assure you that I have an impeccable taste in music. My all-time favourite is classic and prog. rock, from such icons as Led Zeppelin, Jethro Tull, Free, Bad Company, Cream, The Who, The Rolling Stones, Wishbone Ash, Yes, Whitesnake, Uriah Heap, Deep Purple, King Crimson, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Rainbow etc., etc., etc.

I also love the Blues - John Lee Hooker, BB King, Rory Gallagher, Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Bonnie Raitt, Gary Moore, John Mayall etc, etc., etc.

There's even room in my collection for some Folk, Celtic, Gregorian Chants and Medieval music.

Oh, and I've figured out which fuse it is now. I didn't realize it was the fusebox under the bonnet (thought it was the one near the drivers leg area) - it's even got the "engine" symbol on it :o)

Yeah I was only doing that "Usenet thing" where you aim your week's grief and venom on some poor innocent target who has done nothing to deserve it......;-)

You forgot Hawkwind, Pink Floyd and the Pink Fairies BTW.

Oh yeah, I knew that - I just thought it was a chance to let the world know of my taste in music :o)

Not exactly forgot, but there's just too many great bands to mention. I mean, a few more just off the top of my head would be Marillion, Queen, Bowie, AC/DC, Genesis, Peter Gabriel, Bon Jovi, Santana, Van Halen..... and so it goes on :o)
