wobbly door handle - big job?

As a complete novice, would I be ill-advised to try fixing my wobbly (Golf) door handle myself? I guess it's a matter of removing the door panel to get at a couple of screws...is that a tricky job? Do you need special tools? Is it easy to damage it? Any advice appreciated.

Depends on how old the Golf is, if it's a Mk2, you don't need to take the door panel off, there's one screw as you open the door in the door jamb, and another one behind the chrome (or black) strip on the outside. Tighten 'em and the job's a good un.

If it's an inside door handle, god knows.
