Anyone opened up their supercharger?

Has anyone opened up their supercharger? Using the ten or so bolts holding the nose on, I mean?

Of those bolts, one of the two that are used to hold the SC to the engine broke (I seem to recall that has happened before, BTW). I actually have a couple of counter rotating taps, but the bolt broke about an inch down in the hole, so I have no clearance for a drill to drill the starter hole.

One problem I see with opening the SC is that the thing is supposedly sealed full of oil. I have further no clue what I will find there in parts that cannot easily be put back.

Well, I was out of superglue, and liquid welder did not make a good bond. Maybe should have waited longer.

But I managed to reach the bolt with my longest drill bit clamped at its very end in the drill chuck. I also wrapped a thick layer of electrical tape around the drill bit to ensure that I hit the center of the broken-off bolt, instead of, say, the threads of the supercharger.

I was taking out my counterrotating tap to have a look whether I was making any progress when I noted that a weird extension was on the nose. It was the left-behind part of the bolt, stuck on the tap solidly. :)
