Headlight Issue

Hi,

Does anyone know why I would have no low beam from one headlight? I just changed the globes due to the other bulb not working and now this one won't. I exchanged bulbs and still no low beam. Does it mean there is a wiring problem? What reading on a multimeter am I looking for with high/low beam from which terminals?

Thanks,

Justin

I recently had a headlight problem... Dims worked but the bright on side would not. Then some days the dead bright would decide to work again. Then one day I had no dims and only one bright. When I looked I found that one bulb had a broken bright filament and that explained why the bright worked intermittently, but it didn't explain the other odd behavior... as a quick fix I replaced the obviously bad bulb and resigned to having to set aside some time to test the wiring... but having changed the bad bulb the weirdness has not come back for three months. I suspect that the broken filament for the bright periodically touched the dims and played a role in shorting them out. Who knows, but a fresh bulb was all that it took to make the problem go away. Hopefully that is all you need too. Good luck.

I drove around the block and now both lights are working correctly! I read somewhere that you should take care not to move the wiring loom too much when you change the bulbs, so maybe this is a weak point. Having tried three different bulbs in it I think it must be a wiring issue. Anyway, for now all is running ok.
