I bought new replacement top door seals for my '99 (the exterior rubber strip at the bottom of the side windows). There are clips all along the bottom of this strip which seems simple enough - just pull off the old strips and push on the new. But there are also rubber appendages on either end of each strip that appear to poke into holes in the door sheet metal. Before I pull the old ones off, I'd like to know how those ends secure to the door. Are there a speed clips inside the door that hold the ends after you push them into the holes? If so, are they anchored to the door, or will they simply drop off when I remove the old strip, i.e. do I have to remove the door panels?
