Hey! Maybe y'all knew this, but I think it's kind of cool that the odometer keeps going when you're in REVERSE. Haven't noticed this on another car.

But suppose you drove across the US, then back in reverse? Should not the odo show a record of car wear and tear?
It does seem only fair. Otherwise you could just drive everywhere in reverse and save money on depreciation.
Wasn't this a plot device in _Ferris Bueller's Day Off_ ?
