Picked up my new "Nordic Green" MX 5/GT today. And it was the perfect day in New England. I'm learning to drive, all over again, or is that drive all over, again !!

Have you read the owner's manual. Not many of us here (two? three?) have NCs, so we'd be guessing.

IIRC that is the "do nothing" button that was supposed to activate the external MP3/iPod adapter which Mazda/Clarion haven't provided yet.
Well, Since I'm registered in Ma., I'm required to have 2 license plates. Thank goodness the dealer (North End Mazda, Lunenburg) didn't drill the front bumper like that NH dealer (Tulley,Nashua) did!
My question is this. Even with the proper bracket, the screwend looks like they could impact the bumper. I was thinking of a couple of daubs from the hot glue gun on the end of the screw threads could encapsulate them and prevent contact between metal screw and plastic bumper. Also I did take the liberty of "pulling" the bracket away from the bumper, but didn't want to tug too hard. Maybe cable ties would work better than screws?
2K6 GT, Nordic Green...Went to3 "Auto Sound" shops today. None could offer a device to utilize the media button and provide MP3 / or IPOD connectivity.. If the MEDIA button is used overseas for some harddrive device, why can't we just get the drive? What we really need are specs, etc. from a European or Overseas user. The 2 devices currently on the web didn't interest me.
Let's do this thing....
