WTB: Tan Leather seat cover

Apr 04, 2004 3 Replies

Hi all, I am so sick tonight. I got in my 97 black and tan tonight and didn't realize I had a very sharp screwdriver in my pocket. Now I have a slice and hole in the tan leather seat cover. Not the seat back, the back is fine. Anyone know where I can purchase one? I can't believe it, this makes me so upset. Anyway, thanking everyone in advance.

Oh, that pained me to read. Pained me greatly. You have a couple of options. It -might- be worth it to take it to an auto upholstery shop. A good one might be able to sew in a patch that doesn't look like a patch (i.e. "Huh. There's a stitched pattern on this seat, not on this one."). If that's too expensive (or you can't find a good shop), call Mazmart at 1-800-221-5156; they should be able to hook you up with a good-quality used seat. If I can ever get some money put away for a refurbishing project on my Miata, I'm going to call them for a full new interior - dash, doorskins, carpet, seats.

Thanks, I appreciate the information. I have put the feelers out in many different places and will give Mazmart a call in the morning. I guess it wouldn't have been so bad, but I am SOOOoooo...picky with this car and baby it to no end. It has almost 70K miles on it now and it still looks like new, except for a hole in the seat now. Anyway, thanks again for the info, I appreciate it.
