I have a 98 E320 that has only 53k miles. After running for so long the water temperature gauge creeps up to almost 100 degrees. That's the line between the middle and max. Is this normal for an E320? Never had any over heating problems, but i've never had a car that ran past the middle before. Car is covered under Star Mark.

Have the dealer check it out. Probably a fan not working... like auxilary fan.
How hot is it in your area when you experienced that?
75 + degrees F.
No... something is wrong... probably your aux fan is not working or something... at 75 degree.. it shouldn't have reached 100 degree. Have the dealer check it out.
