Front speaker mounting ideas ?

Does anyone have any suggestions for mounting a pair of front speakers ? I've got a pair of Kenwoods that require a 93mm (4") hole and a depth of

42mm (1 5/8") so I doubt they'll fit into the door ?? They won't fit into the dashboard as the grills are a gnats too big so I think I'll have to get some door bins with speaker pods fitted. Thought I'd ask on here for any other ideas first.

Mucho thanks as always

minitrailers do door pockets with built in speaker pods, but seem expensive for what they are.

although what i did with my 94 mayfair was to fit some metro door pockets - screw holes are exactly in the same place, just these have a pod integrated. they come in black or grey to match your interior. scour those scrappies

i would also say do not buy those under dash pods - they are great if you want to bang your knee everytime you get in.

Oh dear those are the ones I was on about, but yes I agree I wouldn't want them fitted to my Mini either I don't think.

appeared after I sent it. Yes there does seem to be a problem with this Outlook Express Newsgroup account: "news.cheap56k.com" as some messages aren't getting through.

Are yes that's the company I was thinking of "Custom Consoles", you see them at many a Mini Show and they do produce some excellent products, especially the centre console with the Mini air vents.

Thanks for all the input guys, it's gonna be a toss up between the Custom Consoles pods or the Metro door bins. She who must be obeyed shall have the final say. Cheers again Jim

Quite a number of years ago, I built an overhead fitting above the sun visors with a speaker fitted in each end.
