Morning gents,I've just gone all hairdresser and bought a broken 1.8T Audi TT to do up.Anyone left here wot knows 1.8Ts?Here's a pic of the inlet side of my Turbo: guess the oil seals have probably gone, and the ends of the blades look a bit curly to me, would anyone like to confirm?It's got a couple of other issues. Changing the turbo looks like a bit of a Pig without taking the engine out, anyone done similar and has any tips?

Mate of mine works at Borg Warner reconditioning turbos, want me to ask about the price for a recon one ?

Yeah, do they recon any old turbos? The one on my TT is allegedly a K04.

Further to the above I ordered a recon turbo today.

I've also ordered a new oil feed pipe. Will check the oil pickup in the sump for crap.

Going to try and replace bits of the PCV pipework which is split and perishing in places.

I'll need a couple of gaskets and bolts and then the car can hopefully go back together.
